Wheat Research Technician _ Sabin, MN Kelly Services is currently seeking a Wheat Research Technician for one of our top clients in Sabin, MN As a Wheat Research Technician placed with Kelly Services you will be responsible for support the operations in the Discovery Breeding program for Spring Wheat in collaboration with local breeding and agronomy teams.
Hours:
8-4:
30 M-F.
Pay Rate:
$16 - $18 (depending on experience) Duration:
1 year Major Responsibilities Performs activities in the greenhouse and field environments including crossing blocks, planting, harvesting, seed processing, and maintenance of seed inventories.
Collects data at nurseries and field trials.
Performs activities in the laboratory including collecting leaf samples, manipulation of plant tissues, and setting up experiments according to established protocols.
Maintains the work environment organized and cleaned.
Complies with Safety, QMS and Stewardship directives, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma.
Preferred Associate's/Technical degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, or related fields.
Experience working in the field and greenhouse is desired.
Self-sufficient in conducting assigned activities.
Skilled on Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Ability to travel domestically.
